Born in Surabaya, Ira made the move to Singapore acquiring an eye for perfection and stage design, which are characteristic of her food portraits. She has a unique style, playing with deep colours and shadows, confidently experimenting to express through the combination of inanimated objects.
 
“I have a unique approach of natural light as a source of dramatic expression”. Like origami or a puzzle, her pieces offer endless creations.

She looks forward to evolving and creating a cookbook with a new light on Indonesian home-food, adding an arty layer of storytelling to what seems ordinary.
